RAPHAEL SAADIQ - The Way I See It (2009)

When was this album released? 2009? You got to be kidding me? This must be at least a record from the 50's or the 60's. Seriously, if you want to feel some old school instrumental jives with a real old school top notch Motown era RnB & Jazz flava, with a soulful Little Richard of the millennium singin songs on top of it, then you got to try this unbelievable album. Raphael Saadiq, the only who got himself venturing into the RnB of 50's and got back with a handful of songs fit for an album that was supposed to be released in 1954. I was awestruck and was a bit freaked out at first. Try and preview this album. You wont regret it. Long live motown. Long live the old school.

SEAN KINGSTON - Tomorrow (2009) The big guy's second album. All the girls lovin it. I like the title track "Tomorrow". All you need in a song is catchy choruses and this song got that catchy chorus line that will easily register to your ears. "Face Drop" is a cute track and a teeny bopperish party track. Another catchy chorus here. "Wrap You Around" is also a radio winner. Man, this album got a lot of hot tracks. Lucky Kingston that he got one heck of writers and producers. This album will be another chart topper. Not my cup of tea but i still recommend this one for the radio friendliness. Flabby abs, chubby cheeks, rich and girls digs you. What more do you want, damn it! DOWNLOAD

50 CENT - Before I Self Destruct (2009) Fiddys back and he is droppin it like its hot. This is fourth studio album by 50 Cent containing 16 jaw droppin bombs, with blazin rhymes and dope beats (well at least some of them). Honestly i am not really a big fan of Fifty. A good hip hop song for me usually an amalgamation of good story telling, like Eminem and crazy catchy riffs on the spinners and not to forget catchy sing along choruses as a bonus. Well, for the radios, they usually go for the beats. No matter if you are a good rapper or not, if your got ill beats, they gon play you. Does this album got what it takes? I dont know. "Psycho" was a good collabo track between 50 and Eminem with Dre behind studio glass. "Death To My Enemy" is another Dre produced song, gangsta? yes. memorable? No. "OK You're Right" is OK. The beat is a thumbs up. "Baby By Me" featuring Ne-yo is the only track that I give a two thumbs up. Good beat, the rhyme is ok an...
